Introducing nanoBridge

Got an idea that harnesses the power of nanotechnology for potential advances in energy, health and the environment? Then let's put it into practice! There is no substitute for the experience gained through prototype development as you close the gap between concept and commercialization. Our role is to enable your concept and your team to cross into the world of product development and explore commercial opportunities. nanoBridge is a prototyping and people development initiative enabling Alberta applied research institutions and companies to advance microsystem / nanotechnology (MNT) enabled business opportunities. nanoBridge Chair, Steven Dew, explains: "We recognize the importance of nanoBridge's role in Alberta's innovation system. Prototyping enables people to learn from direct experience, develop infrastructure for commercial applications and advance business opportunities to support the future prosperity of Alberta."

Funding and project support is available through three programs: advanceMNT (prototyping), MNTorship (entrepreneurship) and compleMNT (ecosystem engagement). Applications for the current interval of advanceMNT program are now being accepted through nanoBridge's new online application and review system. Proposals for the MNTorship program and compleMNT are reviewed any time throughout the year.
